課程概述 |
I. Ten chapters will be covered in this course:
1. Disasters Come with Industrial Civilization
2. Catastrophic Rise in Sea Level
3. Hazardous Ocean Conditions ?El Ni隳
4. Currents and Environment
5. Waves and Coastal Environment
6. Tides and Coastal Environment
7. Estuarine Environment
8. Marine Resources
9. Marine Pollution
10. Mental Purification
II. Classes
1.The first hour of each class will be lectures on marine environment, and
PowerPoint files will be added as visual aides in the second hour. The marine
environment near Taiwan will be the main theme of discussion.
2.Two hours of total class time every semester will be used for discussion.
3.Two hours of office hours every week for questions.
4.Students can post their questions on the website and either the professor or
the teaching assistant will respond promptly to enhance communication.

課程目標 |
In addition to learn about ocean environment, students should pay attention to
the coastal environment of Taiwan and related issues on environmental
protection as well. Students are encouraged to approach the nature more often
in hope of integrating our material and spiritual lives to improve quality of
life. |
